IR Eyes to control equipment from remote location using current equipment IR remote control is included. A Gigabit (1Gbps) Network switch needs to be used with this product since 10/100 Network Switches may have insufficient bandwidth depending on resolution used on this product higher resolutions may not work on 10/100Mbps switches.
These HDMI over Network / IP Extenders has been tested with the Network over Powerline adapters as at Tenda 200Mbit/s Network over Powerline and Tenda 1Gbit/s Network over Powerline adapters. Using the HDMI over Network products in this type of setup together with the Network over Powerline adapters will effectively create an HDMI over Powerline solution. One Player / PC / Source can transmit via the Network over Powerline adapters to multiple displays / HDTV’s instead of using traditional network switches and installing CAT6 Networking cable to enable these extenders to function across existing 220v electrical power cables. This type of solution has been tested up to 70 meter over existing home / business power cables. Longer distances is possible but will be dependant on your home power cables quality and wiring at the DB Board. If a UPS is used in between transmitter and receiver this solution will not work as the signal can only pass through electrical DB Board and breakers and not via a UPS.

Please ensure cables are terminated according to 568A or 568B standard as in diagram below for networking cables depending on CAT5e / CAT6 STP cable type and properly grounded via the ripcord wire inside STP cables. Grounding the cable will also ensure better protection against voltage spikes. STP cables shields better against nearby EMI.
Most HDMI Sources / Players / Gaming Consoles use an encryption algorithm called HDCP which can cause signal issues. To troubleshoot audio / video issues (HDMI Handshake problems) regarding HDMI distribution see the problems and solutions guide at Best Practices Installation Guidelines & Troubleshooting
