Technical parameters 

The selectable SFP modules have been individually programmed to be compatible with e.g. Cisco but are also 100% compatible with other generic sfp coding brands such as Tenda, Hikvision, Cudy, TPLink, TrendNet, Netgear, Ubiquiti / Unifi and generic OEM brands. If buying specifically for Cisco please choose the correct compatibility from the drop-down list of available modules.

This SFP is Hot-Pluggable and it can be inserted into a Network or POE Network Switch without the need to power-down the switch.

Passive PoE is a simple way of providing power to an access point which is not located near a power adapter and which supports Power over Ethernet. Passive PoE uses free wires in the Ethernet / Network cable and sends the equipment power along them to the far end. Over a short distance, it is usually possible to use the power adapter supplied as standard with the access point. If the loss of the voltage on the wiring along longer lengths of Ethernet cable is too high, it is possible to use a more powerful power adapter, to eliminate the loss of voltage.
