Universal Single LNB is compatible with DVB-S2 high definition signals. A low-noise block down converter LNB is the receiving device mounted on satellite dishes used for satellite TV reception, which collects the radio waves from the dish and converts them to a signal which is sent through a cable to the receiver inside the building. The weatherproof plastic structure is completed by a waterproof rubber protection cap.

The diplexer is used on newer decoders with no RF output ports to run the DSTV / Multichoice Decoder heartbeat via the SmartLNB using a single cable. Actual product design may be different than website picture but product will provide the same functions -VHF/UHF and Sattellite input and one combined output.

The satellite/TV antenna diplexer combines signals from your satellite dish and VHF/UHF TV antenna into one coaxial cable output. Use a second diplexer to split the signals for connection to satellite or TV antenna jacks on your receiver.

Functions

• Also used for Multichoice Explora / PVR installations, when connecting two decoders in  dual view.
• Eliminates the need to run a separate heartbeat cable between the two decoders.

The Diplexer is used with DSTV Models from 2018 and newer such as Explora 2 & 3 and Single View Decoder 5s/6s and newer as below to work in conjunction with older decoder models in a XtraView Setup.

The DStv Smart LNB with 2 x Universal Ports (Used on Explora Decoder and Newer Single View Multichoice Decoders) is designed and manufactured for DStv installations where customers make use of their own satellite dish. It is not generally suitable for multiple unit dwellings (complexes/apartments) or commercial/retail environments. The DStv Smart LNB combines the features of a DStv Switch into the LNB and is recommended for all DStv Explora and most XtraView installations.
